Differentiation is the practical response to individual differences in the way students learn. The first thing we need to know is where we are starting from; then where we want to get to. It would be good to have some markers on the way, so we know how far we have come and that we are going in the right direction. And finally we need to know how we have reached our goal. This is how all learners can be provided with options which allow them to develop greater autonomy-

How do we encourage students to “make sense” of what they are learning?
La Bottega è rivolta ai docenti di Inglese della scuola secondaria di II grado. A partire dall’interrogativo: “How do I help my students understand what successful achievement involves?”, si proporranno attività nell’esercizio delle quattro abilità (reading-writing-listenig-speaking) adatte sia al biennio che al triennio per incoraggiare gli insegnanti a sperimentare nuove pratiche e restringere il “gap” tra studenti ad alto e basso rendimento.
